Conclusion

St. Edward’s was one of the many institutions that transitioned into a military academy during World War II, and through the combined efforts of the Cadets and Faculty, the academy distinguished themselves by earning the title of Honor School in 1944-1945. At St. Edward’s, the Cadets were provided a space to grow as educated and competent leaders by honing their skills in discipline, teamwork, and academic performance. As a result, the Cadets, many coming from diverse backgrounds, gained experiences that would benefit them if they chose to pursue a career in the military or one in the civilian sector.
