Publication of the Austin Beer Guide began in 2011 with editors Chris Troutman, Josh Spradling, and Aaron Chamberlain. The publication is in full color and features a fun, casual, and often tongue-in-cheek tone. The publication includes advertising, recommendations, and would go on to offer annual beer awards to Austin brewers and breweries.

Collection is arranged chronologically by publication date.
This collection was compiled by the archivist of St. Edward’s University through donations and collecting copies at local breweries.
Standard policy is to retain one copy of each issue. Duplicated issues that come in as a part of a donation are discarded in accordance with individual donor agreements.
Accruals to fill the gaps in the collection and to capture new issues are expected.
