Also known as "Our Sunday Visitor," the Lone Star Catholic was a weekly newspaper published by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Austin that included syndicated columns and news of Central Texas and global events. The Diocese was motivated to create the paper when the Southern Messenger ceased publication. The paper's offices were housed at St. Edward's University and each issue includes a column "From the Hilltop" written by clergy at SEU.
