Jack, now always on oxygen, is recuperating from recent major surgery in which a lower lobe of his right lung was removed. The surgery was followed by chemotherapy. He smoked multiple packs of cigarettes for decades but has now moved to a vaping device. Yesterday at a doctor’s visit, Jack was informed that he is doing well and should return for a follow up visit in one month.
