Abstract

A collection of approximately 2,500 long playing jazz vinyl recordings donated to the library by Edward N. Meyer. Featured artists include Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Count Basie, Eddie Condon, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, James P. Johnson, Jelly Roll Morton, Red Norvo, King Oliver, Artie Shaw, Art Tatum, Jack Teagarden, and Fats Waller. The collection also includes some bound volumes of various jazz-related periodicals.

Use of these materials requires an appointment (contact archives@stedwards.edu). Munday Library provides access to a turntable in the Tocker Reading Room. Due to copyright agreements, no digital access is available for this collection.
