A primarily ephemeral collection consisting of materials from beer and brewing-related festivals and events from across the state of Texas.

This mostly ephemeral collection was compiled from items that did not quite fit with any of the other Texas Craft Brewing Collections but still capture the community of Texas brewers and Texas brewing culture.

Steve Anderson was a pioneer in the Austin Craft Beer scene, opening the first brewpub in the state when the law changed to allow it in 1993. This collection consists of personal records and and ephemera from his work at Waterloo Brewing, Live Oak Brewing, and Big Bend Brewing Co.

The Black is Beautiful initiative was a collaborative effort between breweries launched by Weathered Souls Brewing in response to the civil unrest of 2020. The signature receipe and branding elements of the efforts were an attempt to bring awareness to the injustices that many people of color face daily. This collection consists mainly of ephemera generated by the effort.

Blacklands Malt, operating out of Leander from 2012-2020, was the first malthouse in modern Texas history. This modest collection of ephemera, photographs, and press clippings document some of the company’s high points.
