Interview Summary: Michelle Flores was first able to visit the Hilltop after an accepted students event in El Paso. She remembers falling in love with the campus, particularly the views from the library, and feeling like a part of the campus community right away. Michelle lived on campus all four years, and worked as a Resident’s Assistant for three years. This allowed Michelle to help her residents find their own communities. She was very active in campus organizations and events, was a McNair Scholar, an intern at the state capitol, and a recipient of the Presidential Award. What Michelle remembers most is the community, and how willing faculty and staff were to help her succeed.
