General

Interview Summary: During her interview, Helen recalls what it was like to be among the first women to graduate from the university. As a student, she remembers being moved by the spirituality that was present on campus. Helen was an education major and was a cheerleader outside of academics. One of her most notable memories of St. Edward’s was an “initiation” in which she and other girls had to wear burlap sacks, which they decorated. Helen made numerous connections at St. Edward’s, both students and faculty, and even met her husband during her time on the Hilltop. As a result, her experience at St. Edward’s means a lot to her.
