Interview Summary: Monica Middleton graduated in 2019 as the second student with a dual degree from St. Edward’s and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU). Her degrees are in Global Studies and International Relations and Peace Studies. Though Monica only spent two years on the Hilltop, she was still active in campus life. She recalls lots of early mornings in Jo’s Coffee Shop, and working on events for International Student Services. Because of her job and degree plan, Monica became well adjusted to being the only American in a room, which has served her well in life after graduation. She went on to do contract work for Google as an Investigations Analyst, tracking geopolitical trends and doing political risk assessments.
