General

Interview Summary: Jesse Plaza started his journey on the Hilltop in fall of 2013 as a transfer student, and came back later as an MBA student. He was able to find a place in the newly founded Topper Radio, and even had his own show “The Weekly Dub” on Saturdays at midnight. In 2015, Topper Radio was nominated for an MTVU Woodie Award for best college radio station. This nomination meant Jesse spent spring break that year on an awards show stage next to Fall Out Boy. Now, Jesse occasionally does voice over work for both advertisements, audiobooks, and emceed the 2022 Homecoming parade. St. Edward’s had a major impact on Jesse, so much so that he decided to come back to the Hilltop as a member of the Office of Information Technology staff.
